This Friday, Orlando Public Library will host Booktoberfest, the annual fundraiser that supports the Friends of the Orange County Library System, the volunteer organization that supports the projects that aren’t covered by the library’s budget.
The One Orlando Alliance, a nonprofit organization that brings together more 30 LGBTQ+ organizations, will host a vigil tonight to express support for the those affected by shooting in Las Vegas.
The vigil will take place at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Seneff Arts Plaza starting at 6 p.m.
Nonprofit consultant Rob Panepinto wants to be the next Orange County Mayor.
Panepinto, who is president of the Winter Park consulting firm Florentine Strategies and CEO of Entrepreneurs in Action, told the Orlando Sentinel he is running to take the place of current Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs. The 50-year-old Republican sits on several nonprofit boards in Central Florida, including the Orlando Economic Partnership and Central Florida Foundation.
