Change Everything Awards

Do you know a person or organization making an impact in Central Florida? We want to hear from you!

Right now, there is someone in Central Florida making an impact in the community. It could be a volunteer who has dedicated his life to ending poverty or a social change advocate who is working to improve the immigrant community near her neighborhood. It’s those types of leaders who will be honored at the inaugural Change Everything Awards on December 14 at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando.

The Change Everything Awards will recognize the people and organizations making a difference in the Central Florida community in the following categories:

Advocate of the Year – An advocate is someone who champions a cause, an organization or an idea. It is someone who is out front fighting for change in the community through advocacy and education. The “Advocate of the Year” Award will recognize a single person.

Organization of the Year – Sometimes it takes more than a single person to change the community; it takes an organization. The “Organization of the Year” Award will recognize the group, nonprofit or charity that has made a big impact in Central Florida in 2017.

Message of the Year – Did you see an amazing video on Facebook that drove you to donate to a cause? Did a billboard campaign get you to volunteer your time to an organization? The “Message of the Year” Award will recognize the communication strategies, marketing plans, social media ad campaigns or public relations efforts of an organization or individual who is making a difference in Central Florida.

Influencer of the Year – An “influencer” is someone who has a large social circle and the power to make change in the community. It is a man or a woman who has transformed an organization or pushed a social issue through his or her connections or through large donations. It is someone who wants to live in a better Central Florida, and does whatever it takes to make that happen. (This is likely not someone who works at a nonprofit organization or charity, but may sit on the board.)

Change Everything 2017 Person of the Year Award – Who in Central Florida has made the biggest impact in 2017? The “Change Everything 2017 Person of the Year” is someone who has pushed for lasting change in the community. It is someone who has been instrumental in fighting for a cause. We are looking for someone who dedicates most of their time to improving the lives of Central Florida residents or the Central Florida community. This is the top award at the Change Everything Awards.
